    Carefully <b>converted barn (Garden Cottage) of attractive C18th Brook House together with newly REFURBISHED thatched cottage Blackspur Cottage.< / b> The peaceful village of Norton-sub-Hamdon nestles beneath Ham Hill, now a countryside park, but from which was quarried the warm golden stone used to fashion so many of the buildings in this pretty corner of South Somerset.

    The village has a fine church, shop and pub (with excellent food). It offers a base to visit the Somerset Levels, the scenic Dorset countryside of Thomas Hardy, many National Trust properties (Montacute, Tintinull, Barrington, Lytes Cary and Stourhead) and classic gardens(Hestercombe and Forde Abbey).
